Dang Frackers Are Ruining Things - 12/8/2017
Wellsboro used to be a fantastic place to live and I still prefer it over anywhere else I've lived during my 66 years, but the natural gas frackers are really changing the small town atmosphere for the worse. Hundreds of trucks fill the roads around the clock and crime has risen dramatically. Locals were promised the gas jobs years ago but that was just another lie thrown out by the politicians who sold their souls to the gas companies. The overwhelming majority of jobs went to workers from elsewhere, such as Texas and Oklahoma. Unfortunately they brought their drugs and crime with them. Read More

A nice, little town. - 4/10/2013
I've lived in Wellsboro for 2 years having moved from NJ. It is quite a culture shock being in such a small town. Main street is cute. There are fun shops, if you are new to them, otherwise they do get a little old. It is a big tourist attraction, with the PA Grand Canyon 10 miles outside of town. We have fun festivals throughout the year and in neighboring towns. But, if you are a young couple or family, I wouldn't recommend it as a fun place to live. We have a zoo, a small theater and a playhouse. But unless you want to go to the park everyday, there's not much as far as entertainment.
