Salem, SD is a small town located in the central part of South Dakota. It has a population of around 1000 people and is known for its friendly atmosphere and rural charm. It is also home to the Salem Supper Club, which is one of the oldest restaurants in all of South Dakota. Visitors to Salem can enjoy a variety of activities such as visiting the nearby Sioux Falls, hiking or biking at Newton Hills State Park, or golfing at the local courses. Many come to check out the annual corn festival held each summer as well as other attractions such as The Wild West Prairie Museum and local shops. The reviews for Salem are very positive with many visitors saying how much they enjoy this small town feel and old-fashioned hospitality from its residents. There are plenty of options for lodging, dining, and entertainment that make it easy for anyone to spend time here and explore all that it has to offer.

Salem is a safe, affordable, quiet place with a caring, friendly, intelligent population. Salem is close enough to Sioux Falls to not feel isolated from civilization, it's far enough from Sioux Falls to be safe, relaxed and wholesome. We will be relocating to Salem to get out of the craziness of West central Florida.  Read More
