I lived in Memphis for the last 20 years, then we moved to Madisonville in the Fall of 2020. This is a great small town to live in. Everyone I've met is extremely nice, our neighbors are great, and the countryside, views, lakes, rivers, waterfalls are all gorgeous! I just moved here about 2 months ago , and this by far is the most beautiful, scenic city I have resided in .
We have alot of farm animals here, lots of rolling hills and nice mountain range view.

Why Monroe County is a great place to live. - 1/17/2008
I moved here about 4 years ago. I have lived in several places before but over all this area is one of the most beautiful. I have not been in one area of Monroe County that I didn't think was beautiful. We have rolling hills and pasture land, lakes and the Cherohala Skyway,and the Cherokee National Forest.
