Nice place to visit, but.... - 2/22/2006
Memphis is a wonderful tourist destination. However, it is NOT a place to settle or retire to. The Tennessee political scene resembles something out of a movie about the early days of this country. Corruption and unethical behavior by city and state leaders makes one sick to one's stomach. Definitely not role models or even sources of inspiration. The public schools climate is even worse.
