Best suburb of Chattanooga - 4/10/2010
Located approximately twenty-five minutes from a renewed downtown Chattanooga and touching the shores of Chickamauga Lake, Ooltewah is positioned to be the premier Chattanooga zip code. The cost of living is reasonable, the schools are high performing, and the new Volkswagen plant promises a new round of economic development. Hopefully, the new development will accompany a new emphasis on sustainability and smart urban/suburban planning.  Read More

Northern Transplant - 10/4/2007
Relocated to TN a year ago from Boston area. Ooltewah is growing fast, new services are coming to town every day. Accessible to the Freeway, minutes from downtown Chattanooga and Metro airport. 90 Minute drive to Atlanta. An hour to Knoxville. Ooltewah's exit 11 off I75 is under construction to better manage the increased traffic due to growth in population. Lots of lovely and affordable new homes in new neighborhoods. Seems a little more sophisticated than other parts of TN so adapting to southern living has been easier for this transplanted northerner. Thoroughly enjoying the climate of the area. The beauty of the hills, lakes and mountains has been a surprise to me. The downtown Chattanooga area has lots to offer and much less traffic than Boston. No snow to Read More
