Traffic problems - 11/13/2010
Athens is a beautiful east Texas town. It is clean and friendly, but no one gets in a hurry! The traffic light are terrible, you have to stop at every one. They have built a loop around the town and I recommend taking it to get through Athens. WE used to stop in Athens to buy supplies on a weekend at our farm just east of Athens but have started taking the loop. I don't think they want out of town business. We would say we have to do the "Athens shuffle" at the grocery stores.
