A very good place all-around - 9/17/2021
We've lived in Benbrook for almost 15 years, coming from Southern California. After trying to find the "ideal" place to live, we realized there is none -- but that Benbrook was as close as anything.
Homes, even after doubling in value since we moved here, are still affordable (lower than national average) in relation to the median household income (higher than national average). As a business owner, it is easy to operate in Benbrook and Texas. Having no income tax in Texas is great, having come from a state with some of the highest taxes in the nation.
Benbrook has somewhat of a small town feel, but that is changing. I wouldn't say it's becoming more urban but more suburban whereas it had more of a rural feel when we first moved here. There's still a feed store (Russel, they're a great place to get vegetable garden plants and fertilizer) and a ton of natural space set aside. Benbrook is a very safe town. We have an excellent Police Department that can be counted on to monitor residential neighborhoods. The 911 response is excellent for both police and first responder

Wonderful Place to Live - 5/31/2010
The people in this town are awesome. The only thing that I have ever found that i dislike about Benbrook is the Texas weather that comes with it.
Wonderful playgrounds (2)that any age kid would love to go to.
There is a everything you NEED in this little town. A wal-mart is coming soon then it will have everything you need & dont need.
All in all this is a wonderful place to live. No matter how much i hate Texas humid miserable summers I don't think i could ever leave this
