More potential than anything! - 3/14/2006
I'm biased by being from CA and the big cities but Corpus seems to suffer most from almost tons of things. Almost has good sports clubs, almost has a fine arts system, almost has a "sparkling seafront, almost has a downtown, almost has current shopping available, almost has civic pride... the list goes on.
As a transplant for the last three years, I would LOVE to see the city take advantage of its place by the gulf, laid back atmosphere and relatively good prices on real estate and goods. Treat this "town" more like a city and quit squashing the hard workers here who are forced to put their money into other communities and internet for lack of updated services and retail.
Just one point from someone who would like to see citizens start demanding good choices from their leaders.
Corpus Christi could really BE a GREAT place... lots of potential
