Emory, Texas - Small town with Big Problems - 8/6/2019
Lived here 9 years. Just don't. Moved here for the air quality, it's terrific. But it's a very closed-minded community. If you're not related to the founding fathers you're an outsider and treated as such. From the out of control "good-ol-boys" lawmen, to the ever increasing number of meth-heads, makes Emory, Texas a place to avoid at all cost. It's a town where everything you've ever heard bad about East Texas is actually true. Bigots, racists, hell-fire preachers on every corner and most folks have the mental capacity that coined the term "back-woods". I lived in North Texas for 40+ years, loved it. I thought Texas was Texas, WRONG. Stay North my friends. Emory Texas bites!
