Great Place - 3/12/2021
Great place to live. Moved here 2 years ago to get out of the large cities. Great growth happening while housing is affordable. Mayor Angie has been great for the town. Read More

Getting Better All The Time - 12/22/2017
I doubt that whoever listed "unattractive physical setting" under the cons has ever been here.
Ennis is beautiful. The historic downtown is being restored. There are wonderful parks. And in the spring the countryside that surrounds Ennis is covered with wildflowers....bluebonnets in particular.
Ennis has INCREDIBLE festivals in the downtown area. They have 2 live community theatres, a drive in theatre (one of the few remaining in the state!), drag races, dirt track races.... for a small town, they have actually have a lot to offer.
There are not a lot of rental properties at the moment. BUT a 185 unit apartment complex is being built that will start leasing in spring 2018. And there other housing / apartment developments in the works.
We love it here!
