Small Town, Not a bad place to hang a hat - 6/17/2020
I have lived here for 12 years.

Decent school, but becoming more liberal each year.

It is a who you know town, with who you know church(es)

Many folks are very friendly to your face, but will turn on you fast...other folks are the best friends you will ever meet, and be sad when you leave bc the other folks just make living there horrible.

Most if the young folk don't see race, but some of the middle age folk will hide it, but it is there....used to be a segregated town before we moved there...but some feelings seem to still be there

Good Sports teams, although team sport coaches are a bit....well they may swear at the kids...but this is Texas...just not my style.

Great School Band Program History..school also has a Vocational dept....very good....at least it was.

Tennis Courts open to public, Veteran's Memorial...they take Vets seriously...also local Newspaper..one day a week.
