Only starting to realize its potential - 10/20/2007
Lancaster is a nice suburban community. I moved here from DeSoto last year and have had no problems. The city has a lot of spacious, affordable homes in well-kept neighborhoods. It has attracted between 7,000 and 10,000 new residents since 2000. Lancaster is only starting to realize its potential as more home builders, industries, and even retail (which we really need) are coming to the city. There is a lot of vacant land on the south side that has yet to be developed and will be valuable in the future as many other Dallas county suburbs are nearing build out.
