Leon Valley is an excellent place to live. As a longtime resident, I feel that I can speak honestly to the character of this city , it's current Mayor as well as our City Council. We are small enough to feel like you know most all of your neighbors but independent enough to know we are a forward thinking community , under the great tutelage of Mayor Riley. Her intense involvement in a myriad of interests, always moving this city in a direction befitting the now and future of all of it's residents and business community.
Our cost of living is over 10% lower then the rest of the cities in the U.S., while benefiting from it's close proximity to the Medical Center , large big box stores and the headquarters for the Fifth Army, and all the other military bases U.S.A. .

Hello. I've lived in Leon Valley for eight years, and I like the town well enough. Looking at the city data web site, it seems to have been stable as far as crime goes over the past ten years. Property value seem to go up about two percent a year.
I substitute teach in the Northside school district, and find the students to be nice on the whole and well-educated. We're near Loop 410, which has four lanes each way, so it's easy to get to places, including downtown. People are friendly.
