A three county headache. - 11/17/2008
Be aware that the city of Lytle sits in three different counties, the majority being in Atascosa county, with portions in both Bexar and Medina counties. If you live within the city limits, but in either Bexar or Medina counties, your property taxes will end up becoming a headache for you and your mortgage company.
The Lytle school district taxes will be billed through the Atascosa county tax office. Emergency services will be billed by the tax office of the county you live in, however be advised that there appears to be a lot of confusion as to who will respond to an emergency call. Residents who live inside the city limit have been told that the city of Lytle will respond, regardless of the county they live
