Smithville, Texas - Hometown of "Hope Floats" and - 2/4/2010
We moved to this beautiful little town 15 years ago, from Houston. We bought an historic home and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast. We get guests from all over Texas. They love to come to a small town full of beautiful trees and old historic homes. The antique stores on Main Street is a treasure to antique hunters. Our Colorado River adds kayaking and canoeing to the outdoor adventures. Buescher State Park is just outside of town and has lovely trails and camping. And we have great restaurants in this little town. You have to try the onion rings at Pocket's Grille, the Jack Daniel's Chocolate Cream Pie at the Back Door. And try to eat one of Sherry's Kitchen's big hamburgers!
Our B&B, The Katy House Bed and Breakfast has private baths, Cable TV, Wifi and we serve a full breakfast each morning. the web site is Read More
