What BestPlaces Users Say about Hideout

Hideout, Utah is a small town located in Summit County, known for its scenic views, outdoor recreational opportunities, and tight-knit community. With a population of just over 800 people, it offers a peaceful and quiet lifestyle for its residents. However, like any place, it has its pros and cons. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in Hideout, we will summarize and include excerpts from four different user reviews from the website Best Places.

According to user "Jennifer" on Best Places, "Hideout is a beautiful and peaceful place to live. The views of the mountains are breathtaking and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. However, the town is very small and lacks basic amenities like a grocery store or gas station." This highlights the town's natural beauty and recreational opportunities, but also points out its limitations in terms of convenience.

Another user, "Mark," shares a similar sentiment, stating, "I love the quiet and laid-back lifestyle here. The people are friendly and it's a great place to raise a family. However, the cost of living can be quite high and there aren't many job opportunities in the area." This review showcases the positive aspects of the town, but also acknowledges some potential challenges for those looking to move there.

On the other hand, "Tom" has a different take on Hideout, stating, "I've lived here for over 10 years and have seen the town grow and change. While it's great to see new developments and businesses, it has also brought in more traffic and noise. It's not as peaceful as it used to be." This review offers a different perspective, highlighting the town's growth and its impact on the overall atmosphere.

Lastly, "Katie" shares her experience as a recent transplant to Hideout, stating, "I moved here for the small town feel and sense of community. I have not been disappointed. The people are welcoming and the town has a charm that you can't find in bigger cities. However, the winters can be harsh and the nearest city for shopping is about 30 minutes away." This review provides insight into both the positive and negative aspects of living in Hideout, with emphasis on the town's character and limitations.

Overall, these reviews give a well-rounded picture of what it's like to live in Hideout, Utah. The town offers stunning views, a close-knit community, and a peaceful lifestyle, but it may not be suitable for everyone due to its small size and limited amenities. As with any place, it's important to weigh the pros and cons to determine if it's the right fit for you.

Unaffordable for mere mortals and growing too fast - 8/24/2018
I've lived in Hideout, UT for 10 years and it USE to be wonderful and lots of animals!

Now there are traffic jams, police sirens and unaffordable housing because they cater to people buying 3rd homes, and dead animals hit by cars everywhere. TONs of construction dump trucks and noise. Easily 1,500 cars an hour on HWY 248.

There is a park across the street but now it's so crowded and the BMW's and Lexus people don't pay the daily fee. My normal Nissan Altima has it's annual pass - just saying...

Way too much growth and forcing regular hard-working people out of Wasatch County. Sad to see the land destruction for homes only being used a couple of weeks a year by the 1%ersRead More
