Great Place to raise a family! - 3/14/2016
We moved to Mapleton as a young couple forty years ago. We have loved raising our four children here. There is a rural atmosphere while being only 15 minutes from all the sports and cultural events at Brigham Young University and three large shopping malls. Mapleton has two elementary schools, a junior high and a high school -- all of which are top rated. There are many youth sport teams. It is conservative, largely Mormon (LDS), nice and safe, with lots of people who love to garden and care for their homes. There is plentiful camping/hunting/fishing going on. The north is full of nice suburban homes with mostly half-acre yards, the center of town is quaint and more of a hodge-podge of architectural eras and yard Read More

Winter is cold but summers are much more pleasant than Provo/Orem because of the canyon breeze. There's a good community spirit, a small-town feel with shopping and freeway access just a short distance away. The area is growing with new schools recently built and another under Read More
