Great small Town - 11/14/2022
I have lived in this city for 11 years at this point, and I love it. The beautiful Uinta mountains are just a hop skip and a jump away, and the people are great. This town is a great place to raise a family, and while there is Mormonism it's a drop in the bucket compared to the glory of nature surrounding us. Living in Vernal, UT - 6/9/2010
I have lived in Vernal for over eleven years now, and I am tired. It takes a strong person to deal with the difficulties of life in the Basin. The People are clanish, only dealing with their own kind. People here drive worse than anywhere that I have ever seen, from Atlanta, Ga to the California coast. The cost of food and gas is more than other places in nearby Colorado, and Utah. If you want any competitive prices on household goods you have to drive at least two Read More

Corndog Country - 9/27/2009
Rent is too high, people are isolated and unsophisticated. Unless your Mormon or want to become Mormon, you're really not welcome here. The economy is oil, which means big booms and big busts. The nearest good sized city is 2 hrs drive. Vernal really has nothing to offer- not even a mall. If you like shooting things, riding ATVs, joining religious cults, and shopping at WalMart, then you will love Read More
