What BestPlaces Users Say about Woodbridge

Located in Northern Virginia, Woodbridge is a small town known for its close proximity to Washington D.C. and its diverse community. With its flourishing economy and variety of housing options, it has become an attractive place to live for many people. To get a better understanding of what living in Woodbridge is like, let's take a look at some user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

According to Rachel, a current resident, "Woodbridge is a great place to live for families. There are plenty of parks and recreational activities for kids, and good schools as well." Another user, Mary, also agrees with this sentiment, stating that "the community here is very welcoming and there is a strong sense of togetherness among neighbors." This sense of community is further highlighted by John, who says, "Woodbridge has a small town feel with big city amenities. I love that I can easily access the city for work, but come home to a peaceful and friendly neighborhood."

However, not all reviews are completely positive. Sarah, a previous resident, mentions that "traffic can be a major issue in Woodbridge, especially during rush hour. It can make daily commutes a nightmare." This is a common complaint among residents, especially with its close proximity to major highways and being a popular commuter town.

Overall, it seems that Woodbridge offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a diverse community and convenient access to major cities. While traffic may be a downside for some, the benefits of living in this town seem to outweigh the negatives, according to many user reviews.

It's small and traffic at times is a pain the a**! - 6/25/2006
Unless you work for the U.S.Goverment, Or associated with the military, Or work as a IT (internet technician). Have a CDL license. You'll probably think that this area got it going on!...SIKE! The cost of living in ridiculously expensive! and traffic/rushour is a nightmare. If you commute to DC. You would need to go to Alexandria or DC to do things with the family. The public transportation isn't too bad. I lived in St.Louis,MO for many yrs. Then lived in Philly off and on for 5 yrs and moved here in 2004. My wife and I are looking to check NC in 2 or 3 yrs to possibly relocate.

Years ago, Woodbridge wasn't a great or expensive place to live. Now the houses in my area are selling in the $700-900K range and the education system's improved. They're building new homes like crazy all over. Due to the changing demographics, we're even getting a high-end shopping center in the next few years so we'll no longer have to "travel" to shop. This area has it's ups and downs, but overall, it's an ok place to live since we're close to DC and the opportunities the city provides without living Read More

Horrible Commutes - 6/7/2006
For those comtemplating moving to the Washington DC area, be prepared for one of the worst traffic situations in the country. It has a serious impact on the quality of life in this area. People often talk about the myriad of things to do in the Washington DC area, but I find that -- on the weekends -- I am too sick of fighting traffic to even leave my neighborhood. If you can afford to live in close to Washington, do so because you can save some hassle by using the Read More
