Odd coming from South Florida to Yorktown - 9/16/2014
Economy here is mixed. Zoning is a poorly planned mix of hidden business and houses on the main roads with mixed older dilapidated housing next door to larger, newer construction. The are severely lacks sidewalks and construction projects seem to make no sense. Speed limits are 40 mph on my residential street and 35 mph on the main road (Rt 17). The summer's are pretty hot when you factor in the humidity, the temp's can be in the high 80's to high 90's most of the summer months. The winter's aren't too bad, the temp's usually don't go below freezing, except at night, the daytime temp's are anywhere from 30's to 50's. All in all, our climate is nice compared to what we see in other area's, we don't have a whole lot to complain Read More

Traffic Conditions - 6/29/2008
Traffic is bad on major routes during commuting hours and on weekends. No real mass transit available. Tunnels cause major delays during these time periods. Good access to local airport without traffic issues. A lot of alternate routes very locally but when going out of local area (about 20 minutes) very few alternate Read More
