Anderson Island, WA is a small island located in South Puget Sound, about 15 miles from the city of Tacoma. Anderson Island also hosts a variety of events throughout the year including an annual music festival and fireworks show for Fourth of July.

meth labs and crime on Anderson Island Washington - 9/4/2015
I have lived on Anderson Island for 26 years. It indeed was like Mayberry USA except without police protection. For the last 8 or 9 years, meth labs have popped up on the Island along with increasing crime, threats and an assault, still without police protection. People are now carrying guns and getting large dogs for their own safety. We are told to keep calling 911 but still we cannot get help from the sheriff nor our legislative representatives.
