Northwest is very disappointing - 12/4/2021
DuPont WA itself is great. There are problems in this entire area though. Minor and felony crime, shootings, drugs and homelessness are quickly rising mainly due to police and prosecution cut backs and lax enforcement. Prices around here were always very high for everything but are now even worse with resent high inflation. Our grocery bill is twice as high as in Virginia for example. It’s like with all the high technology companies around all businesses figure everyone has a six figure income and can afford high prices. If you hike or boat it’s a great area. If you swim or fish forget it. No beaches. There are so many fishing, oyster and clamming regulations it’s very difficult figuring out where and when you can fish for a particular specie. It’s probably to confusing to even create an app. There’s only one real north south highway and few east west highways so you’re always in for either heavy traffic or a long ride no matter where you go. If your looking to live in Pleasentville then your looking for Dupont. This little city is blossoming with the convience of being 10 minutes south of Tacoma and 10 minutes north of Olympia.

Dupont offers a lot for being a small town, varity of resturants and 2 coffee cafes.

All homes are under a home owner association which keeps your neighbors in responsible for themselves and property values up. Surrounded by nature this city has not been over developed and has a bright future with trails throughout. It is 5 NON Highway minutes from Fort Lewis, and has a large military population.
