Observations about Washington State - 1/1/2010
The State of Washington finds many, many ways to tax their residents, more so than anywhere else I have lived. I moved here from the Bay Area, and wish I had stayed in California. They hit you with a 3% sales tax on the full sales price of your home.

The weather is challenging for those of us who like sunshine on our face at least on an occasional basis. Folks here like to hide from the sun whenever possible as evidenced by the number of trees placed around their houses and in front of every window.
