Overview of Monte - 11/23/2014
I lived in Montesano my entire life until moving away for college and career.
-NOT a community of poverty
-Great Festival of Lights during Christmas
-Good schools, newly remodeled buildings, with great teachers
-Small community, 30ish mins from Olympia, 20 mins from Aberdeen
-County seat, housing the court house
-Tons of outdoor activities, fishing, hunting, hiking
-Beaches 40ish mins away
-Rains less than Aberdeen, not all the time, but yes it dose rain
-Adorable bedroom community for those working in Aberdeen to Olympia
This community is small. It may not feel like the Sperling population is correct, but when you take into account the boundary lines, it makes sense.
People that had bad experiences where they grew up tend to have negatively slanted views of the area. This seems to be the case with "Sandra". Although Montesano may not be desirable for all, it is close to the idyllic American small town.
