A growing small town with great wine! - 3/26/2007
I grew up here and didn't think much of how lucky I was, until I returned ten years later. After dealing with the traffic and crowding of big cities like Seattle, Portland and Baltimore, it is a breath of fresh air to be in this lovely town. Here, you will get all of the seasons, pronounced in all of their glory; the winters are cold, the spring is wet and clean, summer is long and hot, and autumn is filled with all the beautiful colors you think you'd only see in New England. If you are worried about culture, I can understand your concern, but you will be surprised how sharp this place is becoming. There are new boutiques and wineries popping up all over....as well as art galleries and even a Starbucks. If you ache for more, the sprawl of the Tri-Cities is only a half hour away. Spokane, Seattle and Portland are all under three hours away. I wouldn't recommend a young, single person move here, but if you have a significant other or kids/pets, you will fall in love with this Read More
