Shinnston has excitement these days and is generating excitement throughout the State. Shinnston sends representatives to Conferences, workshops, training sessions and has a Comprehensive Plan with so many goals that have been met, that new ones have been necessary. Shinnston has events almost every month. There is a Community Band of top quality - over 60 musicians strong ranging in age from 13 thru 80s. It has become a bedroom community but more business is coming in to town all the time.
