Family friendly - 9/21/2009
Brown Deer is a suburb adjacent to Milwaukee. Even though it is on the border to Milwaukee, it strives to maintain its low crime, family friendly atmosphere. The cost of living is exceptional and the location is close to all of the best activities offered in southeastern WI. The village is clean, quiet and quaint; we also have beautiful parks and a great police and fire department. The once prized school system is suffering, although the academic numbers are good. They do have some of the problems that the Milwaukee School system faces, since Brown Deer accepts some Milwaukee students. I believe that the trouble that comes with Milwaukee students, out weighs any financial gain. All in all, a great affordable place to
