Quality of life - 2/23/2015
If you like rodeo, church, bingo, high school sports, and drinking alcohol, then you'll have a ball in Torrington. If you like to do anything else, including decent hunting and fishing, you won't have much fun here.

Wow, Roger! - 11/19/2012
I enjoy living in Torrington. Compared to the rest of Wyoming the temperatures are much more mild and it's much less windy. Life is very peaceful here and people are friendly. Appearance wise, Roger has greatly exaggerated the number of properties that look like "junk yards." There are a few, however, especially approaching from the west on Hwy. 26. Concerning his far out conspiracy theory that farmers are driving out industry and keeping the wages low--what a bunch of baloney! Probably the worst part about Torrington is the occasional odors from various sources: the sugar refinery, the ethanol plant, and a couple of different cattle feed lots nearby and the local cattle sale barn within city limits. No place is perfect, and this town has a lot to offer if you want a quiet life, open spaces and some beautiful outdoor recreation at Guernsey and Hawk Springs reservoirs.
