What BestPlaces Users Say about Georgia
Georgia is a southern state known for its warm climate, diverse music scene, and historic landmarks. It is also home to several major cities, including Atlanta, Savannah, and Augusta. With such a diverse landscape and culture, Georgia is a popular place to live for people from all walks of life. However, like any other state, it has its share of pros and cons. In this summary, we will take a closer look at what real people have to say about living in Georgia, based on user reviews from the website BestPlaces.net. These reviews cover a variety of topics, including the cost of living, job market, and overall quality of life. Let's dive in and see what residents have to say about living in this particular place.
1. "I have lived in Georgia my whole life and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The cost of living is affordable and there are so many beautiful places to explore. I especially love the small towns and southern charm of places like Savannah and Macon." - Sarah J.
2. "Georgia is a great place to live if you're looking for a warm climate and a laid-back lifestyle. The job market is pretty good, especially in the larger cities. However, the traffic can be a nightmare and the cost of living is definitely on the rise." - Mark W.
3. "I moved to Georgia from New York and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The people here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Plus, the cost of living is much more affordable. I also love that there are so many outdoor activities to enjoy, from hiking in the mountains to spending a day at the beach." - Emily G.
4. "I've lived in Georgia for over 20 years and it's been a great place to raise my family. The schools are good, the cost of living is reasonable, and there are plenty of job opportunities. However, I do wish there were more options for public transportation and the summers can be brutally hot and humid." - David M.
From these reviews, it's clear that Georgia offers a mix of positive and negative aspects for residents. Many people enjoy the affordability, warm climate, and friendly communities, while others mention concerns about traffic and the rising cost of living. Overall, it seems that Georgia is a great place to live for those who appreciate southern charm and a slower pace of life.

Georgia most repressive and uncivilized state. H - 2/6/2010
Moved from the new jersey to Georgia 1 year ago. Life in Georgia is horrible deprsssing and will deplete your savings if you have one before you know it. The only positive thing is the Houses are nice, and the lanscape is beautiful. But its a very repressive state. Cost of living unbelieveable. crime shocking. Forget trying to find a good paying job. The drivers ridiculously stupid. Life is very hard in Georgia geting from one place to another. The distance takes a toll on you especially the mileage on your car, paying for gas. Just

THEN GO BACK HOME - 2/3/2010
Atlanta is one of the most beautiful places in the South to live. Most of the people you encountered here are NOT from Atlanta so they bring their states attitudes and problems and lifestyles here to this wonderful city. Again, I-20, 75 and 85 all runs in and out of this city. Take your pick. If you don't like here then that's fine just leave. Something brought you here in the first place.
True Atlien's represent the city in ways different than what the media shows and the way people who are not from here tend to want to represent Atlanta. Not all people here are gay! You of all people should now that CA is the Gayiest city and the only reason why that may have changed is because they moved here. Again, representing the attitudes and lifestyles of other cities.
So please do not just assume all of Atlanta is this way, make sure that the people you met REALLY are from here before you go and rude and crass assumptions about my city.

ga it is here I work and listen to blues and leave - 9/15/2009
I have lived here for more than half my life , has for work and music and if I was a drug and hung out at local bars and slept most the day I would get laid alot. I find the generation I am in 40something is not a hot bed in atlanta unless you go dancing at blues places and hanging out with friends in you little home town which mine town is peachtree city. Lots of northerners and many canadiens and airline people and north west people . But as for single women that take care of them selves and like guys instead of ladies this is not a good state to be in . If I was black maybe a little better . but I think it it is only a hot place if you are drunk and stay up all night and party . Not many laid back people that just hang out and have fun at home. My kids are grown and I have free time and hard to fit in with the younger crowd

It's time to move on - 4/6/2009
It's like a bad marriage; no matter how much counseling you get there's one partner who continues to bring drama to the table. Georgia has not moved into the 21st century, it have too much of the extreme and not enough balance. It's been interesting but it's time to move on after 30 years.
