New Jersey is a state located in the northeastern region of the United States. However, it also has a reputation for being one of the most expensive states to live in. To get a better understanding of what it is like to live in New Jersey, let's take a look at some user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

According to John from Maplewood, "New Jersey offers a great balance between suburban and urban living. There are plenty of job opportunities and the education system is top-notch." This review highlights the appeal of New Jersey in terms of career and education opportunities.

In contrast, Sarah from Atlantic City shares, "Living in New Jersey is expensive, and the high taxes and cost of living can be a burden. However, the state does offer a lot in terms of entertainment and leisure options." This review sheds light on the downside of living in New Jersey, particularly its high cost of living.

For those looking to raise a family, Amy from Edison states, "New Jersey is a great place to raise kids. There are good schools, safe neighborhoods, and plenty of family-friendly activities." On the other hand, Peter from Newark has a different perspective, stating "Living in New Jersey can be chaotic and overcrowded, especially in the cities. New Jersey is a Great Place, But it Costs Too Much - 7/2/2007
New Jersey has a lot to offer. The quality of life is great, and the entertainment and cultural opportunities are wonderful. Unfortunately, if you don't have two well paying jobs so your income is $150,000+, you really won't make it. (Ours is over $100,000 and we don't make ends meet). Property taxes are very high, car insurance is very high, overall cost of living from movies to food is high as well. We're getting ready to re-locate after my son graduates in June of 2008. Three of his best friends families are doing the same thing. Lots of people leaving the state; most of the people coming in are Read More

You can do alot better - 6/23/2007
Forget about the whole state of New Jersey. The cost of living is oppressive expensive. All of the housing is 2-5 times overvalued, a house that cost under 100,000 dollars in other areas of the u.s. Is 250,000 to 500,000 million in N. J. The taxes are about 7- 10 x the average, All of the urban area are saturated with violent crimes (murder ,rape, armed robbery etc,) NEWARK, TRENTON, CAMDEN, PATERSON, JERSEY CITY Atlantic CITY ETC,and what makes it so bad some of the surrounding towns are as bad as the major cities. If you take notice to the above areas, they are filled with illegitimate, bastard,Fatherless children.
