Potential new economic center

Currently Albany is undergoing major renovations as it is becoming an epicenter for technology. With companies such as AMD and Sematech in addition to SUNY's Nanotechnology school all growing and building the area is destined to grow econmoically. The low cost of living combined with the growth of new business and incoming jobs will literally put Albany on the map within the next 5-10 years.

Hi, Rodney, Your comments give me hope. My husband and I live in Tampa and desperately want to get out of Florida. We're both from the upstate NY area and miss it a lot. My biggest concern is the job market in Albany. Even though neither of us is in IT, it's encouraging to learn that economic growth is in the near future. How's the job outlook now? Is it bleak?
