pros and cons

Cons: Housing prices are outrageous! A small bungalow built in the 1920s with a tiny yard will run you at least $700,000, more if it's close to a Metro station. And everyone around here seems like they're in such a hurry, sometimes people can be a little unfriendly. Also, traffic is pretty bad, but that's to be expected in an metropolitan area, I guess. But there are lots of nice neighborhoods and young families.
Pros: Population is well-educated. There's an extensive county park system, so even though Arlington is just minutes from DC, there's a lot of green space. Lots of good restaurants and cultural activities. In general, you want to live in North Arlington, though (zipcodes that end in an odd number.) South Arlington has some nice areas, but definitely more sketchy neighborhoods than North Arlington.
