You should have learned the simple rule of supply and demand by 3rd grade. Greensboro has a low cost of living because no-one wants to live there. The rate of pay there is also very low. The cost of living is high in the DC area because there is a high demand to live here in the nation's most educated and wealthiest area. The economy in the DC area is also the best in the nation. And....if you like culture, history, shopping, fine dining, live theatre, and everything else this incredible area has to offer(including the world best museum complex), nothing beats the DC area!!!
