Austin is lacking in everything

OK, so I experienced my first UT game just trying to drive on the streets downtown. They have the University in the middle of the downtown area, so when there is a football game, all the streets are packed with people and you can't go ANYWHERE!!! And it's all day long!!! Not only that, but the city is so unorganized that they have several events on one day, so it makes it harder to get around the city. There is poor public transportation from the suburbs into the city, so you have to drive your car. There are no good museums, zoo or anything worth seeing unless you want to go on 6th St. and drink like everyone else.
It's sad that Austin boasts about how "green" the city is, yet 3/4 of the people here drive gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs. The majority of the truck drivers are not using their vehicles for work and the SUV drivers are all wealthy women talking on their cell phones and not paying attention. I've lived in many cities, including Manhattan and Philadelphia and I've gotta say that the truck drivers out here are the RUDEST drivers anywhere!!! They will ride up your butt and expect you to move no matter what lane you're in and they will cut you off without a turn signal. They think that they are the greatest thing on the road. They just don't have any courtesy!!
Austin gets old REAL fast! If you're looking for a boring area that's hot all year round and a place where you never go into the downtown part, Austin may be for you. But if you're looking for fun stuff to do, nice people and 4 seasons - don't come here!!!
