Avondale is GREAT!!!

I am a young married woman with a family. I love Avondale for so many reasons. There is everything I need nearby and I rarely have to venture out of my area. Shopping, food, recreation are all close by, not to mention it is constantly growing and has tons of growth in nearby cities. They are buiding a new mall a few miles down the road, and we are also close to two major freeways, and the Football stadium/Hockey Arena/Westgate. Not to mention the schools are good (rating wise). I can't think of a better place to live in the metro area.

I hated living in Avondale. The schools struggled with too many kids. 42 kinder kids in my son's class. At least a third didn't speak English. It was full of discipline problems and bullying. They supposedly had a no tolerance position on bullying, but it had no teeth. The classrooms were chaotic and loud. But then, it had the weather. Boy, do I not miss that! I hate being hot. You do not ' get use to it'. At least I didn't. Grew up there, couldn't get out for four decades. I was hot nine months out of the year. The air is filthy. They had booth of my young sons on nebulizers by the time we left. Haven't needed them since. And scorpions in the house. Yeah, those were fun. Pass...
