Don't get taken by the Realtors here

I am a Idaho Native and I have to tell you , that yes Idaho is a great place to live but these realtors here are waiting at the door of the hen house for all the outsiders. The housing is inflated in hopes that you all with still think you are getting a great deal. Pushing the locals out of the market and even putting more of a division between the locals and the newcomers. Do they care . No the all mighty dollars rule today, yes there is greed even in Idaho. Me I say "THe more the merrier. But in the last five years I have heard the grumbles of the people selling their houses in other states for inflated prices , coming here and acting like howard hughes, buying cars and housing they never thought they would ever own, not having a clue where they will work when the money runs out. Well, I have to give you a clue what the Idaho mentality is at it's core. It's not how much money you have or where you live or what you drive. It is however being yourself and not putting on a front, that is a big turnoff. Your stuff doesn't make an impression, the person does. We are not "simple folk" as some newcomers would like to think, we like the simple life. The fresh air, the evening walk, the sit on the front porch and talk to the neighbors. The Governor that you can speak with, we like to be small town. So please come, but please don't try to change our community to be what you left!!! What good is that? We love our Idaho, we don't want it to even resemble California, or any other state.
