Boise much nicer than Denver... if you're not a dr

I lived in Denver for 5 years and hated it. Chronic traffc congestion, visible air quality problems, over-development of the city and mountains, influx of illegals, increasing crime, and also rated the "drunkest city in the U.S." I couldn't stand the place.
Boise is such a comfortable place to live. I rarely curse traffic anymore. The air quality has improved my respiratory problems. I feel perfectly safe walking around town at night, and I don't have to worry about sleeping with the windows open. I can't believe any of these posters would be foolish enough to move to Boise expecting to find a vibrant nightlife. It is not a major metropolitan area!!! It is the perfect combination of city and small town. I don't care for nightclubs or wild parties, but I've never had any trouble finding anything interesting to do at night. There is always something going on downtown if you're not looking to simply get drunk.
Wages are a bit lower than in larger cities. I took a somewhat significant pay cut to move here. But the cost of housing is about 40% less than Denver. So at the end of the of the month I'm actually coming out about 10% percent ahead.
Bottom line, if your the kind of person who is possibly concerned about the lack of wild nightlife, then you won't be happy here. Please go to Denver or Seattle.
