#3 In the USA as being the Safest City to Live in,

TOWN: First, our population currently stands at 76,000, not what you have written here. Second, the taxes will kill you here. We own a 70' x 165' property and are paying $4,600 per year; soon to go up, since we just had the reassessment done last month (January, 2008).
But even with the safest recognition according to Morgan Quitno Press to live in for the entire country, the politics will annoy you to no end. It's been this way for 60 years: full of nepotism, cronyism and "who you know" not what you know if you want to work in this town. We are regulated to death here with antiquated ideas and ordinances. One petty idea: you can't feed the birds on your property. Silly, isn't it? Okay, it IS safe and sort of like Mayberry, RFD, but still, the politics will annoy you. They have it sewn up so tight that anyone else that wants to change the political platform here and have a new and fresh start here will NEVER get in...the cronies here make sure of that.
STATE: Once my mother goes, we're out of here. And the entire state of New Jersey is so expensive to live with taxes, tolls and thanks to our new governor Corzine (who conveniently slipped in at the last minute last year) the "exit tax" when you sell your house and move out of state, we can barely get by here. His new "exit tax" is a kick in the pants seat on your way out. He is also NOT business friendly, so any company looking to do business here will have so many regulations, it won't be worth it to set up shop here.
If you can help it, stay out of New Jersey!! Do NOT move here to live.
