Old town, crazy fast traffic.

Visiting the town as retirees. Definitely has history but there doesn’t seem to be any traffic control. Downtown felt like the Daytona 500. We have e-bikes and take them everywhere. The old part of town has few sidewalks and the roads aren’t marked. Almost ran over three times by cars flying past on supposed slow roads with historic homes. Gave up and went back to our hotel. Shame. Seems like it could be nice. Didn’t see any other people on bikes even though it’s flat, with historical markers and 25 mph streets - guess they don’t want to be run over either.
If you want to drive and be tailgated and honked at you might be able to see some really old homes, just don’t get out of your car.
