Carefree, Arizona is a lovely place to live. It is at a higher altitude than so it is usually a few degrees cooler than the neighboring cities of Scottsdale and Phoenix. The one negative is that there is no public transportation of any kind here which can be problematic for an aging person who no longer can drive.
