Carlsbad NM, what happened to my hometown?

I have lived in Carlsbad for 40+ years, I currently live out of state as of three years ago. I’m very sad to see my hometown turned into a dirty, dangerous, crowded place. I have friends I visit, quite often, in Carlsbad. First off, the traffic is horrible! Oilfield trucks will run you over and not think twice, I have seen big Mack trucks run red lights, drive crazy and put so many in danger. The oilfield trucks are so prevalent that the roads are being torn up all over town due to the heavy traffic. The highway between Carlsbad and Hobbs NM is thought to be the “highway to hell”. So many fatal and serious accidents on that stretch of highway since the oilfield took over the town. If your going to rent a place to live I hope you have won the lottery because rent is so ridiculous, it’s price gouging at its best. RV parks are the same way. All those big trucks from the oilfield stir up dirt and leave the small town with a dust cloud over it. I went to visit on one weekend and got up early to go buy some breakfast burritos from my favorite place.....the oilfield had already been in, not a burrito in sight.....not anywhere, every restaurant is so crowded and more expensive “price gouging!” Walmart is the devils playground and alway picked clean. The founder of Walmart would roll in his grave knowing how dirty it is, becoming the armpit of the city. Healthcare in Carlsbad...........hahahahaha!!! Most specialist are out of town, any Dr you call your about two months from an appointment, if you find yourself in the ER, may God be with you! Education: my son went to an elementary school three years ago in Carlsbad. His class size was 29 with one teacher, no teachers aid. Last is crime........not enough police, lots of oilfield workers drinking, driving crazy, more drugs coming in town........Google fentyl, it’s both stronger than moriphine and heroine. A blue pill and it’s all over town. Not the town it used to be. O and if a road construction major project ever finishes correctly and within a reasonable time..... that would be nice! So many major road construction projects are going @ critical intersections and take months or even years to complete?????? What is the mayor doing to stop some of this? I mean, damn!
