City life with trees

Chevy Chase is great because it offers neighborhoods and parks and is only about 5 miles from the center of DC. While it looks like a quiet place, the pace of life is all city. Everyone is working too hard to maximize potential experiences of their children or have the most toys / status symbols. No simple pleasures here. We like the people - lots of talented and interesting people raising families but no one has any time to just stop and smell the roses.
