The winds are the biggest downfall to Cheyenne. Because of where it is situated in relationship to the Rockies we experience wind almost everyday of the year. On a calm day the winds can reach 15 mph and just a few months ago we experienced sustained winds at 65 mph with gusts up to 100 mph.
