Review of Cincinnati, Ohio

I'm not sure which part of town all the reviewers live in, but I feel like I'm reading about a completely different city with most of their posts. I have lived in Cinicinnati for 13 years. My husband and I are both "outsiders" with no ties to the city whatsoever. We moved here when we were newlyweds and found it to be a great city. Now we have 3 children and still find it to be a VERY friendly city and great place to raise a family. We do live in Anderson Township, which is on the East side. There are definitely a lot more natives on the West Side, but over here there is a good mix of people who grew up here and transplants. I'm not really sure how anyone could not call this area friendly.

We made the mistake of moving to Cincinnati and got out just as soon as we could. I have never lived in an area populated by such unfriendly people and we have lived all over the United States. Until Cincinnati's mindset changes about newcomers, it will not grow. When a city has 75% lifers and only 25% transplants, that makes a huge statement.

I am thinking about moving to the area of Hyde Park in Cincinnati. I heard that it is a nice, quiet region of the city. Is this true in your opinion?
