Do not live here unless you absolutely "have to" o

Okay. Do you have color to your skin? If you live anywhere on the East side of Cincinnati, you will find that the people of color work on the East side but don't live there. You will see people of color in the banks, grocery stores, gas stations, the malls, etc. The people of color you will see are not happy. I am a person of color and I've been here for 15 years on and off because of work. I cannot wait to leave again. My children are honor roll, polite, and dress in a European fashion. They have always made friends in other cities but cannot make friends in Cincinnati. They are bullied constantly. It's so clickish here that people ask you "where did you go to high school". My friends are of all ethnicities and my friends of color, despite their professionalism, find it awfully difficult to shine.
I'm tired of the racism. Something needs to change.
Yeah, there is Crossroads church. Go there, cool at first. Then, if you volunteer, you will start talking like them, dressing like them, judging people like them. I did it, had to quit.
Also, anywhere in Hyde Park/Oakley, you cannot find any "green space" to really enjoy. You have to drive to Alms or Ault Park or Lunken Airport for a trail. People aren't active here. Yes, alot of runners. However, rollerblading, cycling to the grocery store, flying kites, taking walks after dinner, nope! Oakley Square and Hyde Park Square have overpriced stores with lame merchandise. People bring their pooches there, buy an icecream, but that's it. Yeah, they have events on the square but they are overpriced farmers markets or art shows that don't inspire. If you are poor, you won't make it on the East side emotionally. Look up pedophiles in the area too. Lots of them concentrated in 45209 and 45208.
I hope you have a better experience. Our time is almost up here and we are headed to a more diverse and healthy place to raise our family.
Love and Light.
