I'm from here and recently moved back to the area. I can't wait to leave again. You pretty much have to drive everywhere so the air is really bad. Crime is going up downtown, who knows when that will get better. There isn't too much outdoorsy stuff to do. There are some bike trails, but this is not a place in balance with nature. In fact I think people care more about driving their SUVs, eating unhealthy food, and being unkind to one another than really creating a loving, healthy city.
