Columbus has a lot to offer, but has two main issues against it.
The weather changes and pollution leads to a very crappy air quality. It feels like the dumpster of the east coast and the Midwest came together here. If you never had allergies or Asthma, you have at least 50% chance of getting it in Columbus.
The other is education; you must have at least a bachelors degree to earn a decent wage here. You have about 45.000 Ohio State University kids competing against you, amongst other colleges. Some of my friends did not even bother looking for a job after graduation. They just moved out of town for jobs they landed elsewhere. If you are in Engineering or Information Technology, you might as well forget about it.
