Review of Columbus, Ohio

A few questions about Columbus...please help!

We are looking to relocate to a pretty, SAFE, family-oriented suburban town with somewhat affordable housing, good schools and friendly people and are considering the Columbus area. I would like to get some opinions on whether Columbus might be a good fit, and if so, what towns specifically in this area might be best. Any info. would be great - even if people have suggestions outside this area.
