Getting Around in Columbus

I have been living in Columbus for about 3 years now...give or take a few months. I have found the public transportation to be less than satisfactory. The service area is unimpressive at most, and so are the service times. I personally think that every big city should have 24 hour service. If you think that catching a cab will be a substitute, you are sadly mistaken. With gas prices saoring at an all time high these days it probably costs a fortune, not to mention, you'll be forced to rely on someone to get you around that has been in the Country less time than you've possibly been in the city and wont understand half of what you are saying. The traffic isn't bad at all, but the freways were poorly designed and the people barely know how to drive. They panic in not only snow, but rain as well, which was surprising considering this is the mid-west. Lastly, bring a reliable car with you, or get one as soon as you come because if your car breaks down, good luck finding a good mechanic that wont rip you off!
