Review of Deersville, Ohio

Deersville
Star Rating - 12/28/2009
We just bought a house in Deersville. It is a very nice village. There is one General Store with a single gas pump out front and one restaurant, Elaine's, which operates out of one of the historic victorian homes along main street. It is located within minutes of Tappan Lake and Clendening Lake. Despite what this website says about the crime rate, it appears to be one of the safest places in America. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Deersville is located along the Moravian Trail Scenic Byway. Nearby cities are New Philadelphia, Dover, St. Clairsville, Steubenville, and Cadiz(the County Seat of Harrison County). The village is about an hour and a half drive southeast from Akron. There is one active church and one abandoned church as well. People living within approximately a ten to fifteen mile radius consider themselves from Deersville, even though the village is only .3 miles in size. The town has a mayor, which is a volunteer position. Any other questions feel free to ask.
